Holyrood Evangelical Church


Often seen as an excuse for coffee and cake the Holyrood Hillwalks are still a good way to get out in the hills and enjoy the scenery and some chat. The food is a big draw though, each trip usually ends up at a chip shop somewhere!

January 20th Dalkeith Country Park We are going to the newly Dalkeith Country park.  We will have morning coffee at the Café and then go for a walk in the grounds.  There are a whole range of walks to suit all abilities. Walks range from 2-8kms. http://www.dalkeithcountrypark.co.uk/
February 17th Moncrieffe


This excellent circular walk explores Moncreiffe Hill, a beautiful woodland managed by the Woodland Trust, as well as visiting the summit with its grand views over Perth, the Ochils and Fife

March 24th Dirleton Coastal Walk This out-and-back walk begins from the picturesque village of Dirleton, famed for its grand castle. It leads out to the sea for a coastal stretch with wonderful views of the islands that dot the Firth of Forth, before returning the same way. We will be having brunch at Archerfield


April 28th Eildon


Brunch in Melrose and a stroll over the Eildon Hills


May 19th Ben Lomond (Munro) This is a great mountain and it has been a while since we scaled it’s dizzy heights. We will stop for quick refreshments at Café St Mocha, Balmaha on the way up and probably get chips on the way home
June tbc Holyrood BBQ Not to be missed. We will get this confirmed as soon as possible
