Sundays

Sunday Mornings – 10.30am

We are currently working through the Gospel of John. You can catch up on any you’ve missed or listen live at live.holyroodevangelical.org or for audio downloads visit our audio page.

Sunday morning is a time of joyful worship and fellowship at Holyrood. We start worship as one big church family. After the second song, children leave the service and go to creche and Sunday club

The central act of our worship is the exposition of the Word of God. We want to make sure that the Word is accurately understood while also demonstrating its relevance for the lives of modern Christians.

After worship, there is tea and coffee. Most of our congregation mingles after the service to spend additional time with one another. We believe that informal fellowship is an important part of our gatherings on Sundays.

Equip – First and Third Sunday Evenings – 6pm

It’s not easy to be a Christian in the modern world. There are a lot of lies that need to be detected. There are a lot of habits that need to be unlearned.

Equip is a training meeting when we prepare ourselves to be a people of truth, service, and witness. The goal of Equip is to set Christians up to be disciples of Christ in the modern world. If you feel unprepared to face the questions and challenges of modern life, join us at Equip.

Home Groups – 2nd and 4th Sundays

On the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month home groups meet. Our home groups are informal times of encouragement, prayer, and discussion centred on the Word of God. We have home groups that meet throughout the city of Edinburgh.

Praise Nights – 5th Sundays

Praise is no small part of the Christian life. Through praise we give glory to God, and through praise we encourage one another to persevere in faith, hope, and love. Thus, when there is a fifth Sunday in the month, we gather in the evening for a special service of praise. Feel free to join us next time there is a fifth Sunday!
